As both a physician and athlete, Dr. Michael Sisk brings personal experience and professional excellence to every patient he treats.

A seasoned orthopedic surgeon and fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Michael Sisk has spent more than two decades helping patients recover from injuries and reclaim active lives. His interest in orthopedics was sparked by his own athletic journey as a high-altitude climber and former professional bronc rider—experiences that gave him firsthand insight into the physical and emotional toll of musculoskeletal injuries.

Dr. Sisk earned his medical degree and completed his residency at the University of Colorado, where he developed a passion for sports medicine and joint preservation. Since 1999, he has been a valued member of the team at Orthopedics of Steamboat Springs, treating patients of all ages—from weekend warriors to elite athletes.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Sisk serves as a physician for the U.S. Ski Team, helping world-class athletes stay at the top of their game.
